Stay focused.

Choose those who are good from them and those who are not good to change them.

Speaking of which alumni the Royal College of the Arts has gone out of the way, everyone may think of Peter Blake, David Hockney, Gavin Turk, but do you know, the Emperor? Art teachers have long listened to these names, can you come to something fresh? Therefore, today’s Little More introduces you to a graduate of Huangyi Art. Overseas enjoys a certain reputation, but the domestic minority sculptor, Tom Price, is rarely known.

Tom Price was born in 1973 in London, England, and has lived and worked here. Tom is currently engaged in the study of sculpture and design, and spent a lot of time exploring the connections between the two and exploring some of the gray areas between the two. In 2009, Tom, as a contemporary sculpture artist, was also invited by the BBC Documentary Channel to produce the “Where is modern art now” series of documentaries.
Tom is good at using common but often overlooked materials in his life to try out the work. But this often requires some unconventional machinery or technology to assist in the accomplishment, so Tom in the process of continuous trials has gradually formed a set of his own unique sculpture and material application skills.
“Chance is an essential element in this creative process, and one that Price relies on to transcend the limits of imagination” Tom once said that opportunity is an essential element of the creative process. I rely on opportunities, but I will think of my imagination. Limits translate into opportunities.
Tom graduated from the Royal Academy of Arts in 2006 as an artist and designer. Tom has successfully expanded his work to the international level. His works have been successfully collected by the MOMA Contemporary Art Museum in San Francisco, the Denver Art Museum, Chatsworth House (a famous British nobleman estate), the Nelson Atkins Art Museum, and the Seoul Museum of Art. In addition, he also designed a series of sculptures for some large squares, buildings and private houses.
